The Tioga County Soil and Water Conservation Department has announced that grants are now available for area farmers. The Soil and Water Conservation Department has partnered with the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets to provide several grant opportunities. One type of grant would provide $20,000-$50,000 to farmers at a 90% cost share rate. Farmers would provide a 10% match. The other grant available would provide $50,000-$100,000 for farmers at a 75% cost share rate. Farmers would need to provide a 25% match.
