Closing arguments in the fourth Cal Harris murder trial have been delayed after Judge Richard Mott made a significant ruling yesterday afternoon. Judge Mott allowed Stacy Stewart’s work time card from September 12, 2001 to be included in the evidence.
Stewart’s time card from that day says he was at work beginning at 6am. This is contrary to one of the defense’s main witnesses, Kevin Tubbs, who says that he saw Stewart with a woman who looked like Michelle Harris that morning at 6:30am. The defense is calling in a rebuttal witness today who worked with Stewart. Closing arguments will begin after that.
