One person was killed and another injured in a car crash on Route 81 north. According to Pennsylvania State Police, one vehicle collided into another on the right side of I-81 northbound around 7 o’clock Saturday evening. The incident took place between the Great Bend exit and the New Milford exit. Hallstead firefighters say that the driver of a Chevrolet Traverse had pulled off onto the side of the highway to check their back tires, and that’s when a Dodge Neon hit the Chevy. The driver of the Chevy, 73-year-old David Decker of Endicott, died at the scene. The passenger in the Chevy, 71-year-old Judith Decker of Endicott, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the Dodge was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries. State Police continue to investigate the crash.
