Kmart in Binghamton will be shutting its doors for the final time in mid-December. The parent company of Kmart, Sears Holdings, says that the decision to close the store comes after a review of the store’s profitability. In anticipation of the closure, the Binghamton Kmart will begin a liquidation sale this Thursday.
