A man who was tried three times for murder led police on an hour long foot chase in Robert H. Treman State Park. There is no word from authorities on why Corbin Whyte was being chased by dozens of officers, however, Ithaca Mayor Svante Myrick confirmed the reports at a city meeting yesterday evening. Whyte was tried three times for murder back in 2010, but was not convicted, due to a hung jury. Whyte, however, was charged with tampering with evidence and sent to jail, until he was released March of this year.
