More charges have been filed in the case of a Pennsylvania girl with cerebral palsy who has allegedly spent the last two years locked in her closet. An investigation by the Bradford County Children and Youth Services into a home near Dushore has revealed additional abuse. Initially, Mary Beth Frankenfield and Richard Frankenfield, who is a registered sex offender, were both charged with false imprisonment of a child and endangering the welfare of a child. The Frankenfields told investigators they locked her up to keep her out of trouble and because they didn’t want to burden the other children in the house with looking after her. Now, 18-year-old Kevin Frankenfield now faces 10 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and aggravated indecent assault of a child, as well as sexual abuse of children. Mary Beth and Richard Frankenfield posted bail after it was reduced to $25,000 each, while State Police and Children and Youth Services continue the investigation. The District Attorney says further charges are being considered.
