The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office has launched a new smartphone app for the public. The app is free and can be downloaded to a phone and used to track inmates, active warrants, and sex offenders, among other features. Anyone downloading the app can also use it to track similar information in other counties that are participating in the mobile app program. It can be found in the iPhone and Android marketplaces by searching for Mobile Patrol App, then typing in the specific sheriff’s department.
