A search is underway for an armed robber in Chemung County. Authorities say the gunman stole money from the Finger Lakes Health Care Federal Credit Union in Elmira Saturday. The Elmira Police Department was out canvassing the area in the 500 block of Hart Street. They were called out at about 10:30 a.m. The suspect reportedly fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the authorities.
