An Elmira man has been charged with burglary. Elmira Heights police received a complaint from the owner of Brian’s Flooring on College Avenue, stating that cash and checks had been stolen from his office. Following an investigation, officers arrested Christopher Deprimo, an employee of the store. Deprimo allegedly broke into the business to steal cash and checks. Police say he then forged the checks and cashed them at various locations. He was arraigned and sent to the Chemung County Jail on $1,000 bail. Police say more charges are pending.
