A man is recovering in the hospital after being hit by a truck in Elmira. The pedestrian was walking across East Hudson Street just before 1 o’clock early Sunday morning when the truck hit him. Police say the driver of the truck ran a red light, knocking the victim out of his shoes. The man, whose name has not been released, was bleeding from his head and taken to Arnot Ogden Medical Center, where his injuries are now said to not be life-threatening. The names of the driver is also yet to be released. Police are still investigating the incident, and no tickets have been issued at this time.
