A Brooklyn man was stopped for speeding by the State Police on I-86 in Elmira and subsequently found 40 grams of cocaine, 109 bags of heroin, a small amount of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. 45-year-old Pedro Sanchez was arrested and charged with two counts of felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and several misdemeanors. Sanchez was travelling 90 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone. Sanchez was arraigned in the Town of Elmira Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail without bail.
