Family members have confirmed the identities of four children who were killed in a fire on Elmira’s south side Friday night. The victims were 17-year-old Courtney Stanton, and her siblings, 10-year-old Amera Mansour, 7-year-old N.J. Mansour, and 5-year-old Jordan Mansour. Close to 200 family and friends held a candlelight vigil for them Saturday night. The fire swept through the Morrow Street home a little after 9 p.m. Friday. Firefighters arrived to find the house engulfed in flames. Neighbors say they tried to rescue the children before firefighters showed up to the home. Funeral arrangements have not been announced yet.
