A fire ripped through a home in Chemung County. Firefighters responded to the scene in Horseheads a little after 4 p.m. Sunday. Crews arrived to find the home on Duncan Street fully engulfed in flames. It took firefighters about 30 minutes to place the fire under control. They battled not only flames but cold temperatures and slippery conditions. Officials say no one was at home when the fire began. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
