A Cameron man is dead after a motorcycle accident on Saturday morning. The Chemung County Sheriff’s office say 21-year-old Shawn Smith, was riding a motorcycle on State Route 328 in Southport when a car pulled out in front of him trying to turn onto the road. Smith was thrown off the bike. He suffered severe injuries and later died at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. The driver of the car is Benjamin Robbins, 19, of Troy. He was treated for minor injuries. Police say Robbins failed to yield the right of way.
