A 12-year-old boy is dead following an ATV accident. State troopers said the child was using an ATV near Breesport on North Chemung Road Sunday morning. Investigators believe the boy was trying to use the vehicle to pull a post from the ground. When he accelerated, the ATV flipped, landing on top of him. He was taken to Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Elmira, where he later died. His name has not been released.
