ELMIRA, N.Y. — Elmira High School’s Footlighters are preparing to take the stage with their production of Titanic this weekend.
Performances are set for Friday and Saturday, March 20 and 21, at 7 p.m., featuring more than 50 student performers.
In the final days leading up to opening night, students are in what’s known as “tech week,” focusing on dress rehearsals and fine-tuning the production.
Unlike the popular film, the musical centers on the real-life events of the Titanic and the people who were aboard the ship, rather than fictional characters.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students and are available online.
