A former Town of Corning Supervisor, who was arrested last year, has officially resigned.

Jenniffer Tuttle, formerly known as Jenniffer Mullen, was charged with falsifying business records, offering a false instrument for filing and grand larceny last June.

She is accused of submitting falsified documents to the State Department of Labor and received more than $1,000 in unemployment benefits to which she was not entitled.

Tuttle pleaded guilty to one count of offering a false instrument for filing on Tuesday.

The Town of Corning held an emergency meeting to accept her resignation. Mike Brenning was appointed to fill the position.
