The Village of Painted Post has announced it will be flushing fire hydrants later this month.
Starting on Monday, May 18th, the village will be flushing hydrants. Residents are advised they might temporarily experience discolored water.
The flushing is expected to continue through Thursday, May 21.
The village water department recommends that residents not use hot water or wash clothes until the cold water is checked for clarity.
