The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Laura Watkins, 29, of Ithaca for felony Rape in the Second Degree.
The arrest was made early Monday morning when deputies were called to an address in the Town of Groton, where it is alleged that Watkins was engaging in sexual intercourse with a male victim under the age of 15.
Watkins was arraigned in the Town of Groton Court.
Watkins was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bond.
She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Groton Court on March 24th.
Due to the age and nature of the complaint, the location and victim’s name will not be released.
