Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a crash that killed one person and injured three others on Route 220 in Towanda Saturday. Troopers say it started around 6:30pm when a woman attempted to cross the northbound lane of 220 to enter her driveway and was struck head-on by a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Thomas Cox. The woman’s car ended up on its side while the vehicle driven by Cox continued into a neighbor’s carport. Cox later succumbed to his injuries. The unidentified woman in the other car and her two passengers were transported to Towanda Memorial Hospital.
