The Ancient Order of the Hibernian’s honored the local National Guard with an award for their work within the community. The 204th Battalion was received Saturday at the Hibernian’s 2013 Community Service Award ceremony. Those accepting Community Service Awards said it was a much appreciated “pat on the back” from the Southern Tier. Another award was given to the Grand Marshal’s of the Hibernian’s upcoming St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which steps off Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in downtown Binghamton.
