Johnson City Police responded to a 911 call over the weekend on Floral Ave in Johnson City, when the caller reported that he was dying and in need of help.  Police arrived and located the resident of the apartment 34 year old Jaime R. Beardsley who was in the immediate area.
A check of the apartment did not reveal anyone in need of police assistance, but did reveal approximately 1 pound of marijuana.  Police secured the location and later executed a search warrant.
That warrant led to officers finding just under 7 pounds of marijuana and about $3,600 in cash.
Beardsley was arrested and charged with criminal possession of marijuana.  Beardsley was arraigned in Village Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.
It is believed that Beardsley may have been the person responsible for dialing 911, but he would not cooperate any further with police.
