An Athens man is in the Tioga County Jail today after allegedly attacking and seriously injuring his girlfriend in Waverly yesterday. Investigators say 25-year-old Michael Comstock attacked his girlfriend at a home in the village. No motive was released. Comstock has been charged with felony assault, criminal obstruction of breathing and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Tioga County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
