Five members of the Athens Area High School’s Future Business Leaders of America chapter have qualified for the national leadership conference in Nashville, Tennessee this summer. A record number of students qualified from Athens to compete at the state conference, as the school sent 51 students. The five students headed to the national conference are the most Athens has ever had qualify. Leah Gulyas, Maria Hudock, Megan Dukes, Ashlee Fisher, and Jeffrey Gao will be headed to the competition. Gulyas and Hudock went to the national event last year, with Gulyas finishing third nationally in her event. Hudock was crowned the national champion in her event last year.
