Police in Ithaca are searching for a man who tried robbing a convenience store Sunday night. The panic alarm was activated inside the Byrne Dairy Convenience Store on North Meadow Street around 8:45 Sunday night. When officers arrived on the scene a store employee told them that a man had come into the store demanding money from the register. The worker refused to give any money and sounded the panic alarm, which caused the man to run out of the store. Ithaca Police continue to investigate.
