A custody dispute in Steuben County has lead to attempted kidnapping charges. State Police say a man tried to enter a home on Roosevelt Ave. in the Town of Bath. The people who live there were able to fight him off and the suspect took off. Police say 19-year-old Brian Patterson, and 25-year-old Sarah Murphy-Sears, went to the home in an attempt to take custody of Sears’ non-custodial son. Both suspects were arrested in Bath. Both face multiple charges, including conspiracy and second degree attempted kidnapping.
