Ithaca Police found the body of a man Wednesday evening in an area where many homeless people seek shelter. Officers were called to the area, referred to as “The Jungle”, after a person was reported not breathing and appeared to be dead. The cause of the man’s death has not been determined as an autopsy is currently pending. Police have not released the name of the victim until they are able to notify the man’s next of kin. Investigators do not believe any foul play was involved. “The Jungle” is an area located in the 200 block of Cecil A. Malone Drive in Ithaca.
