A new candidate has entered the race for New York’s 124th State Assembly District. Bill Batrowny will run on the democratic ticket for the 124th district, which includes all of Tioga County, and portions of Broome and Chemung Counties as well. Batrowny needed a minimum of 500 resident signatures to enter into the political race. His team collected over 1,300 signatures, a feat that Batrowny says proves his candidacy is gaining momentum. Batrowny is currently a business owner, and is also a retiree from the Elmira Police Department. He will be running against incumbent Assemblyman Christopher Friend.
