The Village of Waverly Department of Public Works building has been scheduled for demolition next week. The building was declared a total loss after a devastating electrical fire on August 22nd. Demolition will be performed by Austin Excavating and Paving Incorporated of Waverly at a cost of $20,000. Several vehicles were in the building at the time of the fire. The damage to those vehicles is currently being reviewed by insurance adjusters.
