Elmira Police have identified the victim of Sunday night’s fatal stabbing as 29-year-old Albert Sturgis, Jr. They say the man suffered multiple stab wounds during an altercation with an acquaintance inside Gush’s Thirsty Bear Bar. Sturgis was taken by a friend to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police do not have a suspect, and say eyewitnesses are not cooperating with their investigation.
