The US Drug Enforcement agency is filing charges against an Endicott man who was arrested following a shooting in Endicott in October. 40-year-old Edward Reed is believed to have stolen 2 pounds of methamphetamine from another drug trafficker earlier this year and then shot at the trafficker when he showed up at Reed’s residence. Authorities in Broome County managed to obtain a search warrant of Reed’s home following the incident, where they found crystal meth and a variety of weapons. The new federal charges come after follow-up investigations by the DEA. Reed currently resides in the Broome County Jail.
