Face To Face Ammunition Sale Requirement Starts Thursday

Today is the day it becomes illegal to buy ammunition in New York State unless a licensed dealer actually sees you. The face-to-face bullet sales is part of the law pushed through a year ago by Governor Cuomo. The law has taken effect incrementally, first banning sales of popular semi automatic rifles and large capacity magazines and requiring federal background checks on private gun sales. Ammunition transactions are now required to take place in person, including any sales made on the Internet.
