State Troopers in Pennsylvania found five people dead in a Lycoming County cabin Saturday morning. According to the police, troopers found three children and two adults dead at 405 Gap Road in Washington Township. The cause of the death was ruled carbon monoxide poisoning by the Lycoming County Coroner. The victims are 30-year-old Nathan Reece, 23-year-old Jacqueline Stackhouse, her son, 3-year-old Austin Cousins, along with 9-year-old Nariah Hawkins and 4-year-old Cadee Hawkins. Police reported that the group spent the night there, and a propane fueled heat source had been running inside the cabin without the cabin being properly ventilated. Tests showed that all five victims had toxic levels of carbon monoxide in their systems. The owner of the cabin called 911 and told police that he had been hosting some friends, but that he had slept outside of the cabin in his truck. State Police are saying that the incident does not appear to be suspicious but the investigation is ongoing.
