With some periods of heavy rain expected Friday, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Southern Tier of New York and Northeast Pennsylvania. The watch is in effect until Sunday morning. As snow continues to melt into the headwater streams of the Susquehanna River, and with up to 1.5 inches of rain possible today, the weather service says we could see minor flooding along area rivers. Smaller streams, creeks, roadside ditches and low-lying areas could also see some minor flooding, especially tonight and into tomorrow. We will continue to monitor this situation and update you as needed on WEBO.
