The man who hit and killed a Binghamton University student in December has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of an accident after reaching a deal with prosecutors. With the plea, 26-year-old Aizaz Siddiqui admitted that he was behind the wheel of the car that struck and killed BU student Stefani Lineva while she was walking along Route 434 near Pennsylvania Avenue in Binghamton. Siddiqui will be sentenced in August. The misdemeanor charge carries a maximum sentence of one year in jail.
