Tuesday marked the first day of trout season for New York State, but anglers didn’t see much success. With the recent flooding in spots, the high rivers and streams led to water too fast for local fishermen to catch any trout. Fishing licenses are required for anyone over the age of 16, and you can get more information on the New York Department of Environmental Conservation’s website at D E C dot N Y dot gov. Trout season runs now through October 15th.
