IBMs cognitive computing system named “Watson” has recently been used to develop new recipes. Watson was the reigning champion in the TV game show “Jeopardy” back in 2011, and has now paired with food magazine “Bon Appétit” to analyze thousands of recipes published over the past few years, to develop new ones. The computer system developed these new recipes by analyzing trends in ingredient combinations. Watson was developed by IBM at their Yorktown Heights campus several years ago. The company is looking to develop and release an app in the coming years that mimics Watson’s capabilities.
