Mayor Svante Myrick has declared a State of Emergency in Ithaca. Ice jams in Cascadilla Creek in the city have caused flooding on First, Monroe, Madison, and Hancock Streets. Other areas in the city have also experienced icy conditions due to residual water remaining in the streets. At this time, all creeks in Ithaca are being closely monitored. The 100 through 300 blocks of First Street are closed at this time, and parking has been prohibited along sections of Adams Street, Madison Street, and Willow Avenue.
