The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office has released more information about the head-on collision in Richford on Friday. Around 8:45am, 36-year-old Jamie Darrow of Newark Valley was travelling northbound on Route 38 when she crossed the double-yellow line and struck a tractor trailer driven by 36-year-old Joshua McKown of Sayre. Darrow was ticketed for failure to keep right. The accident happened just north of the Route 38 and 79 intersection, closing the highway for a few hours. The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by Richford Fire, squads from Maine and Dryden, state police, the Tioga County HazMat Team, DOT, and Huckle’s Towing.
