Ithaca Police made an arrest after responding to a burglary in progress Thursday night. Officers were dispatched to 611 East Seneca Street around 8 o’clock last night. According to police, 21-year-old Brian O’Connor forced his way into the home at the address, damaged property, removed a fire extinguisher, and attempted to flee through a fire escape. He is now facing charges of criminal mischief and burglary. He was arraigned and released.
