Ithaca Police are asking people to use caution while enjoying the outdoors. Just before 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon, police were called to Ithaca Falls to help someone who fell in the water. As they were on their way, another call came in reporting two more people had fallen into the water. All of the victims were able to get out on their own. Still, the warm weather has added to the dangers of water. Ice that appears to be thick is often very dangerous. Plus, melting snow has caused water levels to rise and move faster. Ithaca police also advise anyone who sees someone in danger to call 911.
