Ithaca Police Chief John Barber has announced that he will be retiring in March. Chief Barber began his career in the Ithaca Police Department in 1994 and was promoted to Chief in 2013. In his public announcement of retirement, Barber thanked all of his colleagues, Ithaca officials, and his family. Chief Barber’s last day will be March 7, 2017.
