An Ithaca woman is behind bars, facing robbery and assault charges. 19-year old Y-nasia Adams was taken into custody Wednesday night. Ithaca police said a woman accused Adams of cutting her multiple times with a knife before running off with her purse. Police found Adams several hours later in an alley on the same block where the incident allegedly took place. Adams was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She’s being held in the Tompkins County Jail on $10,000 bail. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment but is expected to be okay.
