With the state’s announcements that fracking will not be permitted for at least another 14 months, the Joint Landowners Coalition of New York has wasted no time to express their displeasure. Attorneys for the JLCNY say that the governor is not showing leadership when it comes to the issue, and they cite the jobs created across the border in Pennsylvania as reason enough to consider fracking in New York right now. The Joint Landowners Coalition of New York is a group of 77,000 landowners representing over one million acres of land in the state which could be used for natural gas drilling.
