A grocery store in the Town of Union is where one lucky winner bought a million dollar mega millions ticket. On Valentine’s Day, one lucky customer walked through the doors at the West Corners Weis and walked out with a winning combination. The New York Lottery website shows the ticket from the Weis Market cash register was a quick pick mega millions. There was no first prize prize winner for the Feb. 14, drawing, but the second prize ticket was sold at this location. All five numbers matched and that earns the winner one million dollars. The store manager said it’s created a buzz in the store and in the local community. The New York Lottery confirmed today that someone has come forward to collect their prize, but Weis Markets do not know who that person is. A New York Lottery representative said an official check presentation will be scheduled in the next few weeks.
