State troopers are charging a Maryland man for a robbery that took place at the Arnot Mall last week. According to investigators, 22-year-old William Howard stole from the Kay Jewelers store in the mall last Thursday. After a short search for the thief, police were able to bring in Howard and charge him with robbery in the third degree. State police say the suspect was staying with a friend on the campus of Mansfield University in Pennsylvania. He was arrested by the Wellsboro Police and is currently awaiting extradition proceedings.
