The Maine Endwell Little League team has won its first game in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The Maine-Endwell Spartans defeated Warwick, Rhode Island 7-2 in front of over 10,000 spectators yesterday. M-E is the first team from New York to make it to the Little League World Series since 1977 and the first from the Southern Tier since Corning in 1949. The Spartans will now move on to a winner’s circle game against Goodlettsville, Tennessee on Sunday at 3pm.
