Are you going to the fair this year? Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced the development of a new mobile app which may make your trip to the New York State Fair a bit easier. The new app will allow you to purchase tickets online. In addition, it will detail all of the fair’s events, including shows, demonstrations, and musical performances. Users will be able to select the events they’d like to attend and create a custom itinerary for their visit. Users can also schedule reminders for five minutes before the event begins. The app can also use your phone’s exact GPS location, and guide you throughout the fairgrounds, and to specific vendors. Facebook and Twitter buttons will also allow users to see real-time posts and tweets regarding the fair. The app is free. It can be purchased in the Apple and Google Play marketplaces, or by visiting NYSFair.org/App.
