As Sayre Area School District administrators are continuing to work with the Sayre Area Education Association on contract negotiations, educators in the nearby Montrose School District have announced that they will begin to strike starting next Tuesday. Students in Montrose have been advised not to attend classes beginning on Tuesday as a result of the strike, per district officials. After school activities will however continue as scheduled.
