In Newark Valley, district residents will vote from noon to 8pm in the High School Auditorium on a $25.9 million budget proposal for next school year. The spending plan would raise the property tax levy by 1.58 percent. Besides the budget, bus purchase, and board members propositions, voters will also be asked to consider creating a capital reserve. The district’s budget newsletter is available online at www.nvcs.stier.org.
